Enjoy a liquid breakfast at the Buena Vista

Meet the cafe that introduced the Irish Coffee stateside, The Buena Vista! Floating cream delicately topping coffee and Irish whiskey has been a San Francisco staple at Buena Vista since 1952.

The cafe started mistakenly being credited with having created the Irish Coffee, but the Irish actually created this perfect cocktail. Stop here to enjoy the greatest brunch Fisherman’s Wharf has.

Opens at: 9 am Monday through Friday. Weekends at 8 am.

Pro-tip: While you enjoy eating breakfast near pier 39, be sure to pull up a seat at the bar to watch the classic cocktail get mixed by the dozen. In a rush? Grab some of the best food at Fisherman’s Wharf to go.

Chow down on Brazilian pastries at Cafe de Casa

Don’t blink or you might walk right past this inconspicuous Brazilian cafe that is home to some of the best breakfast near Fisherman’s Wharf!

This intimate little hideaway is a true family business opened by Lucimar Canedo and her two daughters, Thais and Amanda, and it makes our list of greatest restaurants near Fisherman’s Wharf.

Stop by Cafe de Casa for the best healthy breakfast San Francisco has, featuring incredible local coffee, acai bowls, freshly squeezed juices and the most delicious egg-less tapioca crepes filled with savory or sweet fillings.

Opens at: 7 am every day.

Pro-tip: Order Coxinha. They’re a savory Brazilian pastry filled with shredded chicken and cheese. Think along the lines of a piroshki, an empanada or pigori. Did we mention their famous hot sauce? This Coxinha is definitely the best breakfast in Fisherman’s Wharf.

Indulge with dessert for breakfast at Eight AM

Gigantic portions of breakfast classics are sure to leave you stuffed after leaving the Hollywood Cafe. Seriously, come hungry! Lines can start getting pretty long here, arrive early to avoid the rush.

Opens at: 7 am every day.

Pro-tip: Two words – Turkey Benedict. This Californian take on the Eggs Benny ditches the Canadian ham for turkey and avocado – yum. Also, try the Dungeness Benedict.
