Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge, this artistic enclave has the setting and beauty of a european mediterranean town.

After enjoying an afternoon of fun on our City Adventure Tour, take the ferry back across the bay to cap off the perfect day. This  tour is a great way to experience the city by day and enjoy an afternoon lunch, shopping or sightseeing on the waterfront in picturesque Sausalito. Electric Tuk-Tuks (E-Tuks) are auto rickshaws often seen in Asia.  These vehicles are perfect for our adventurous visitors who want to see the city in a unique and exciting way.  The name Tuk-Tuk is onomatopoeic, mimicking the sound of a small (often two-cycle) engine. An equivalent English term would be “putt-putt.” Other than being fun to ride, it’s eco-friendly as well!

How many people do the E-Tuks hold?

Our E-Tuks are designed to carry 6 people.

Where can the E-Tuks go?

They are limited to areas that have a 35 MPH maximum (no highways or freeways) They are perfect for those Chinatown alleyways and hills up to Coit Tower and down Lombard Street.

Yes! The E-Tuks are a lot of fun to ride and we think they are the perfect outing for a family (who may not want to spend 6-hours in a minibus with a little one).

Our E-Tuk tour can pick-up from any Union Square or Fisherman’s Wharf hotel! We are happy to drop you off in any downtown location for lunch, dinner or cocktails.

We would love to add a fun transportation option to your event. Please email us at info@dylanstours.com to schedule.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in our tour company and look forward to showing you our version of San Francisco. When you book directly through our website it allows us to provide the best possible customer service, including:

1. Emailing or calling you directly to communicate our meeting location, last-minute details and tips about your tour. If you book with a 3rd party, we don’t receive your contact information and may not be able to get ahold of you.

2. Easy cancellations; when booking outside of our website it takes several days to get your money back to you should you need to cancel.

3. Dylan’s employees are here to help. When you book with us on the web or over the phone our team is here to help every step of the way – from hotel and restaurant recommendations to the best way to get to San Francisco from the airport.

4. The ability to keep our prices fair; when you book outside of our website we pay a 20% commission and therefore have to increase the cost of our tours.

We recommend children be 12yrs+ to rent 7-speed bicycles, and 16yrs+ to rent electric bicycles.

Yes! This tour includes the official tour of Alcatraz, including round-trip ferry ride.

Unfortunately no. Alcatraz stipulates that we do the Official Alcatraz Tour the first day and our minibus tour on the next.

Yes, both Alcatraz and the Famous Tour will need to be purchased together. Alcatraz stipulates that tour companies combine Alcatraz tickets with a tour.

5. Your Experience is our Top Priority:

6. No Extra Costs
Our prices are inclusive of all taxes and fees.

Dylan’s Famous Tour (7 hours) – Our most popular tour. Explores all of what San Francisco has to offer, includes a lunch stop in Sausalito, then over an hour spent in beautiful Muir Woods Redwood National Park. If you are in town for a few days and you want to get a nice overview of the city on your first day here, this is the tour we recommend!

A Day in the Bay Tour (10 hours) – Our official Alcatraz Tour. In the morning, head up to Muir Woods to get your day started off with the beautiful redwoods. Afterwards, you will enjoy lunch in the beautiful town of Sausalito. After coming back across the Golden Gate Bridge you will explore some of our favorite neighborhoods in San Francisco. You are then dropped at Pier 33 in the afternoon for the Alcatraz ferry and audio tour. We suggest this tour to those who only have 1 full day here in the city.

San Francisco and Sausalito Tour (2.5 hours) – This city tour covers all of our favorite highlights of San Francisco. From the Painted Ladies to Haight-Ashbury, you will see all of the iconic sights in just 2. 5 hours. The tour finishes across the Golden Gate Bridge in the beautiful town of Sausalito, where guests are encouraged to spend the afternoon and take the scenic ferry back to San Francisco.

Our minibus tours pick-up in a convenient location in Fisherman’s Wharf. Your confirmation and reminder emails will contain our exact address and best ways to get there.

Depending your tour we can drop you off in Fisherman’s Wharf, Lombard Street, North Beach, or Chinatown.

Why don’t you provide hotel pick-ups:

We would love to pick everyone up from their hotel, but we find that having one convenient pick-up location in Fisherman’s Wharf  improves the quality of the tour.

Picking up multiple individuals before starting the tour would not be a pleasant experience for any of our guests, and sitting in traffic is not something we want you to start your tour off with.

Is there a parking garage near the starting point:

Yes, there are several parking garages located near our meeting point.

1. It’s an all inclusive day!
We’ve combined our two favorite activities in San Francisco into one great day. Enjoy your bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, then catch our round trip shuttle up to Muir Woods National Monument and back to the city!

2. No waiting around!
NO ferry, NO taxi, NO Uber. Let us take care of the transportation for you, just sit back and enjoy the day.

3. We are the only company in San Francisco offering this tour
This is the best (and ONLY) way to bike the bridge and see Muir Woods National Monument, period.

4. 100% Refund Guarantee:
Change of plans? Feeling under the weather? We are happy to refund your entire tour with 24 hours advance notice.

5. Independently Owned:
We aren’t one of the big bus companies, and it shows. Dylan’s is owned and operated by San Francisco native Dylan David.

Muir Woods:

Muir Woods National Monument is located 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge and is home to some of the oldest and tallest living trees in the world.

This popular destination is part of the United States National Park service and is considered to be one of the most peaceful destinations in the Bay Area. We consider it to be one of the top highlights of the Dylan’s Famous Tour and A Day in the Bay tours.

Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge, this artistic enclave has the setting and beauty of a European, mediterranean town. For both our Dylan’s Famous and A Day in the Bay Tours, you will enjoy your lunch on the picturesque waterfront, enjoying views of the San Francisco Bay.

An electric bike, also known as an e-bike, is a bicycle with a battery and a motor.

Do you have to pedal on an e-bike?

What makes the e-bike great is that you are welcome to pedal normally, or you can use the throttle, located on the right handlebar, to help propel you along. Whether you are in the mood to get some exercise or just want to sit back and relax, the bike empowers you to get up (and down) the hills of San Francisco with ease!

Bottom line: Our e-bikes make for a really easy, enjoyable and exhilarating tour.

What is the weight capacity?

The weight capacity of our e-bikes is 250 pounds.

Please note our site is secure and offers SSL security on all credit card purchases.

Both of our electric bike tours allow countless opportunities for photos.

Dylan’s Famous Tour and A Day in the Bay Tour

We make a stop in Sausalito at an awesome italian deli with delicious sandwiches to-go. We take our food right down to the waterfront to enjoy the beautiful view of the San Francisco bay.

We will substitute one of our closed top buses if the weather looks like it will not be enjoyable for our guests.

You can choose between a 7-speed bike or an Electric bike for our Bike the Bridge and Shuttle to Muir Woods National Monument package tour.

Please return to the bike to our shop no later than 6PM

For your safety, the group’s safety, and the safety of our equipment, all participants MUST be able to confidently ride a bike. If a guest is not riding confidently enough to travel safely on San Francisco streets, we will prohibit that guest from riding.

Our guides are always ready to ride, but if the forecast is showing a strong likelihood of rain on the day of your scheduled ride, it will be up to us to cancel the tour and keep you safe.

If we do have to cancel, we are happy to refund or re-schedule.

If weather conditions are not to your liking, we are happy to refund you at any time.

Our tours fill up fast, especially for summer. We recommend booking in advance.

It’s best to book online! Email is best if any questions arise.

Our minibuses are able to accommodate folding wheelchairs only.

Do We Have to Walk?

Our mini-bus tours alternate between sitting and brief walking. We stop a minimum of five to six times per tour and although we encourage getting off the bus for photos and exploration, you are more than welcome to stay on the bus if you choose.

We strongly encourage you to dress in layers as weather can vary from neighborhood to neighborhood.

We also recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing during the tour.

We do not offer child seats on our electric bike tours.

Our City Loop Tour and Intro to SF Tour are only conducted on full-size electric bicycles. For legal reasons, you must be 16 or older to ride an electric bike. For a more child-friendly experience, we recommend one of our minibus tours.

Yes, we stop at Angelina’s Deli. We find that it caters to all types of eaters, including vegetarians.

You can find a menu here:

The Blue and Gold ferry departs downtown Sausalito and drops you off at Pier 41 in Fisherman’s Wharf.

Each ferry runs approximately every hour. We strongly encourage purchasing your ticket when you arrive in Sausalito.

Please see ferry schedule below:

San Francisco’s dress code usually warrants at most a sweatshirt or a light coat. Drinks and snacks are welcome on the bus and we encourage our guests to pack a lunch. Food and beverages can be purchased along the tour as well. A camera is also highly recommended.

Can I bring my luggage?

Since we use small buses to keep the tours intimate, we cannot accommodate luggage. However, anything that you’re comfortable having on your lap or under your legs is fine with us.

Do I need to bring my booking confirmation to get on the bus?

No, just bring yourself! The booking invoice is mainly for your records. To board our bus, we just need the first and last name of your party.

We are a family business and we welcome all families aboard. With that said, please be considerate of the other guests when traveling with young children. In such an intimate setting, it is important that everyone is well behaved so that all of the guests can enjoy their experience.

Do we provide car seats?

We do not offer car seats, so you will need to bring your own. Again, out of courtesy of other guests that will be along with you on the tour, please consider if your child will be able to be peaceful for the full six hours.

Do I need to purchase a seat for my baby even if the baby is on my lap?

Yes, everyone requires a seat on our bus by California state law.

At this time, we do not offer tours in any other languages except English.

Unfortunately, commercial vehicles are prohibited from accessing the curved portion of Lombard Street. We recommend visiting it on foot, we can drop you off there at the end of our Famous tour.

Golden Gate Park is a beautiful place worth spending an entire day in. We do cover Golden Gate Park on our Original City Loop electric bike tour—it’s a great way to get up close and personal with the many things to see there!
