Departure from Dylan's Tours Shop
Begin your adventure at our conveniently located shop at 782 Columbus Ave, right in the heart of Little Italy. After a quick and easy check-in, you’ll hop on the bus and set off to explore the city’s most iconic neighborhoods!
Explore San Francisco neighborhoods and landmarks
Immerse yourself into San Francisco by visiting all of the iconic sites and neighborhoods that create this unique and amazing city. From exploring the Palace of Fine Arts to getting that perfect photo of the Golden Gate Bridge there is so much to soak in while your guide gives you the rich history and stories that created these landmarks.
We exit the bus several times (10-minute breaks) to soak in the neighborhoods and capture amazing photos! Please see “neighborhoods & photo stops” (below) for details on each neighborhood, as well as where we stop for photos.
Walk through Muir Woods and the California Redwoods
Here, you have over an hour (up to 90 minutes) to walk amongst some of the last remaining coastal redwoods in the world! This is an unforgettable experience with stunning photo opportunities. Many of our customers consider Muir Woods the highlight of the entire day!

How long is the Famous Tour with Muir Woods?
9:00 AM Departures: These tours last approximately 6 hours. During the winter season (November–March), the tour may conclude closer to 5.5 hours
1:00 PM Departure: This streamlined 4-hour tour does not include a stop in Sausalito.
8:00 AM Famous Tour with Muir Woods & Alcatraz: This extended tour is a full 9-hour experience, combining two of San Francisco’s most iconic attractions. This tour can also be broken up in two different days.
Will there be a lunch stop?
There is NO lunch stop on the 2:00 PM Tour.
Where can I park for the beginning of the tour?
Our meeting location is conveniently located in the heart of North Beach at Dylan’s Tours Shop. We recommend parking at the nearby North Beach Garage.
Are Bathroom Breaks Available During the Tour?
Yes, there will be bathroom breaks throughout the tour. For your convenience, we also recommend using the restroom before arriving at the meeting point to ensure a smooth and comfortable start to your day!
What should I wear for this tour?
San Francisco’s weather can be unpredictable, so we recommend dressing in layers, including warmer clothes like pants and a jacket. Comfortable walking shoes are a must to fully enjoy the day’s adventures!
Where can I eat in Sausalito?
There are many places to eat in Sausalito! We personally love Venice Gourmet Deli for a nice sandwich with a bay view. Explore this list of Sausalito restaurants.
Can I add an Alcatraz ticket to my booking?
Yes you can for our 8:00 AM tour only! You will have an opportunity to add on an Alcatraz ticket during the booking process. If you were wanting to book Alcatraz for another day please reach out to us via email at info@dylanstours.com
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a 100% refund with at least 24 hours notice prior to departure time. If providing less than 24 hours notice before departure, we offer a 50% refund.
Do I have to pay to enter Muir Woods?
While we will take care of the parking fees for Muir Woods, it will be up to each guest to pay the $15 entrance fee to enter the park (16 years and older). This fee can be waived if:
- Child 15 years and under
- Veterans
- Gold Star Families
- National Park Pass holders
How do I add on the Mini Lombard Leap?
You can add on the Mini Lombard Leap after checkout from your Famous Tour with Muir Woods. Check your confirmation email for details on how to add on this thrilling adventure down Lombard Street. You can choose to take your Lombard Leap directly after your morning Famous Tour with Muir Woods or before your afternoon tour OR even another day!
Can I add on Alcatraz and the Mini Lombard Leap for the same day?
You would NOT be able to combine both add ons for the same day. Due to the timing of your day and the Alcatraz ticket you would have to do the Mini Lombard Leap on another day.
