Guided Bike Tour to The Golden Gate Bridge

If you prefer a shorter guided tour, more time to explore on your own, and a little bit of adventure, this is the experience you’ve been looking for! During the first 2 hours of this bike tour, our local guide will lead you along San Francisco’s stunning waterfront en route to the Golden Gate Bridge. 

Along the way we’ll keep you entertained with stories, recommendations, and local tips, while making plenty of stops to soak in the views and enjoy the city’s most beautiful landmarks, including the Palace of Fine, Fisherman’s Wharf, Fort Point, and more! 

The guided portion of this tour will conclude at The Golden Gate Bridge, where we encourage you to keep the adventure going!

Afternoon Options

Continue Bike Rental—  Our guide will provide safe and detailed directions to help you make the most of your afternoon! Ride across The Golden Gate Bridge, take in the views from the nearby Marin Headlands, or enjoy the rest of San Francisco including Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, and more!

Shuttle to Muir Woods— Drop off your bike in nearby Sausalito, enjoy a leisurely lunch before catching our round trip shuttle to Muir Woods, and back to San Francisco!

After the guided tour, I want to take the shuttle to Muir Woods. How does this work?

At the conclusion of the guided bike tour, you’ll embark on a ride to remember across The Golden Gate Bridge, and enjoy an easy downhill ride to the gorgeous town of Sausalito! Here you will drop off your bike and have plenty of time to enjoy the views and have lunch in this charming seaside village. 

Following lunch, you will meet our Muir Woods Shuttle in the center of town. You will have over 75 minutes to enjoy this incredible monument and explore the many trails of Muir Woods. After your exploration, enjoy a relaxing shuttle bus back to San Francisco, dropping off in Fisherman’s Wharf. 

Before you end your guided bike tour, our guide will provide detailed instructions along with pictures of where you will be dropping off your bikes in Sausalito, as well as where and when you will be meeting our Muir Woods Shuttle.

After the guided tour, I want to keep my bike and explore on my own. How does this work?

When the tour ends, you are welcome to keep your bike until 7:00 PM. We provide maps and bike locks for your adventure, and your guide will also happily assist with route suggestions for the day!

8:45 AM—Arrive at Dylan’s Tours Bike Shop – 782 Columbus Ave. We’ll safely check your E-Bike and make sure you’re familiar with everything before we hit the road.

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM— Explore San Francisco’s Scenic Waterfront. Your guide and small group will explore the city together, with several photo stops along the way. You have several photo stops and opportunities to learn about our favorite neighborhoods. You’ll also receive plenty of recommendations, city history, and stories from your local guide. 

11:00 AM— Guided Tour Ends at Golden Gate Bridge. After the guided tour ends, the real adventure begins! After the tour, you may keep your bike as a rental for the rest of the day, or continue your ride across the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito to drop off your bike, have lunch, and continue on our Dylan’s Tours Shuttle to Muir Woods!

11:30 AM-1:30 PM— Arrive in Sausalito, drop off bike, have lunch

1:45 PM— Meet your shuttle to Muir Woods

4:30 PM— Return to Fisherman’s Wharf

Why does this guided tour end at The Golden Gate Bridge?

This tour is designed to introduce you to San Francisco, while allowing you to have the freedom to explore on your own. This is why we end at The Golden Gate Bridge, and give you the option to ride across at your own pace, continue exploring the city on your own, or take the Dylan’s Tours Shuttle to Muir Woods in the afternoon.

I’ve never been on an electric bike, can I still take this tour?

YES. First timers are more than welcome on our guided bike tours. Our trained local guides will make sure you’re fitted for a bike, and are confident how to ride them before starting the tour.

Do we have to ride electric bikes?

YES. In order to best ride as a group and move at a safe pace, all of our guided bike tours are on our safe and easy to use electric bikes.

How far is it from Dylan’s Bike Shop, to the Golden Gate Bridge?

 First things first, the route between our bike shop, and The Golden Gate Bridge is simply stunning! It’s a 4 mile (6.5km) journey along San Francisco’s most scenic bike path. The route is mostly flat, and a total breeze on the electric bikes!

What are my options when the guided tour ends at The Golden Gate Bridge?

The beauty of this guided bike tour is the options are endless.
