What to Expect

We’ll meet you at your hotel in the Fisherman’s Wharf or Union Square area at your chosen tour time, where we’ll board the E-Tuk and travel to our first stop. Not staying nearby?

We offer a hotel pick up service from over 1000 Bay Area hotels!

During the tour your guide will share stories, history and recommendations about some of San Francisco’s most iconic neighborhoods. We will be sure to show you our favorite places to grab a memorable photo to share with your friends and family.

At the conclusion of the ride we can drop you anywhere in the downtown San Francisco area. If you have any problems, you can reach us at (415) 932-6993.

These are some of the places you will explore (photo stops noted by *):

Lombard Street**

Nicknamed “The crookedest street in the world” – one of San Francisco’s most popular landmarks – **during busy months, traffic may prevent us from going down.

Palace of Fine Arts*

Inspired by Roman and Greek architecture, the Palace of Fine Arts was originally constructed to celebrate San Francisco’s recovery from the 1906 earthquake.

Golden Gate Bridge – Fort Point*

Located just beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point gives you a front row seat to the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge.

Coit Tower*

This art deco tower located on Telegraph Hill offers one of the best views in the entire city. (Unfortunately we do not have time to go up to the tower).

Pacific Heights

Offering one of the most scenic outlooks in all of Northern California, Pacific Heights is home to Billionaire’s Row, featuring the estates of politicians and tech titans.

Mrs. Doubtfire House

This stately home was built in 1893 and starred in the 1993 movie Mrs. Doubtfire with Robin Williams and Sally Field.

Chinatown

Boasting the largest Chinatown in the United States, this 24-block mecca is bustling with energy, amazing food, and unique and colorful shops that give this area its charm.

Financial District

The home to San Francisco’s tallest buildings, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid.

Fisherman’s Wharf

One of San Francisco’s most popular destinations – from beautiful old shipyards, to Boudin’s Bakery and the smell of fresh clam chowder, Fisherman’s Wharf has it all.

North Beach – Little Italy

Voted as one of the USA’s “ten great neighborhoods”, North Beach is best known as the home of Little Italy. Delicious restaurants to authentic sidewalk cafes abound.

Presidio

Former military base, now a beautiful park that includes Crissy Field, Fort Point, Lucasfilm’s (George Lucas) headquarters and the Walt Disney Museum.

Time permitting, we will also include these stops:

Haight Ashbury

The origin of the hippie culture and the birth place of the “Summer of Love.” See the stunning Painted Ladies and the homes of music’s favorite 60’s bands.

City Hall

This beautiful Beaux-Arts monument epitomizes the high-minded American renaissance of the late 18th and early 19th century.

The Castro

One of the first gay neighborhoods in the United States. Colorful bars and restaurants line the streets, with the historic Castro Theater overlooking the historic area.

Have questions? Here’s the most frequently asked.

What is an E-Tuk?

Electric Tuk-Tuks (E-Tuks) are auto rickshaws often seen in Asia.  These vehicles are perfect for our adventurous visitors who want to see the city in a unique and exciting way.  The name Tuk-Tuk is onomatopoeic, mimicking the sound of a small (often two-cycle) engine. An equivalent English term would be “putt-putt.” Other than being fun to ride, it’s eco-friendly as well!

How many people do the E-Tuks hold?

Our E-Tuks are designed to carry 6 people.

Where can the E-Tuks go?

They are limited to areas that have a 35 MPH maximum (no highways or freeways) They are perfect for those Chinatown alleyways and hills up to Coit Tower and down Lombard Street.

Where does the E-Tuk Tour pick-up and drop-off?

Our E-Tuk tour can pick-up from any downtown San Francisco hotel! We are happy to drop you off in any downtown location for lunch, dinner and cocktails.

Are the Electric Tuk-Tuks child friendly?

Yes! The E-Tuks are a lot of fun to ride and we think they are the perfect outing for a family (who may not want to spend 6-hours in a minibus with a little one).

Can I hire the E-Tuk for my private event?

We would love to add a fun transportation option to your event. Please email us at info@dylanstours.com to schedule.
