When you want to see the best San Francisco has to offer, as well as spending a relaxing afternoon in Sausalito, our Almost Famous tour is the perfect choice! As born and raised natives, we know exactly how to get you around efficiently and show you what our beautiful City by the Bay has to offer.
Explore San Francisco’s most impressive neighborhoods. We have all the most desirable sights to show you and plenty of stories to share. We also make a number of stops, so you can get out to explore and take photos.
Then head with us across the famous Golden Gate bridge toward Sausalito. You’re about to find out how much of a difference a hop across the Bay can make! Dating back to the 1700’s, this enchanting waterfront town is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet, leisurely lunch by the Bay.
Aside from being the most family-friendly San Francisco tour, you also get to stay in Sausalito for as long as you like once the tour concludes. This means you have plenty of time to stroll the waterfront to see the harbors and the harbor seal enclaves that call Sausalito home. Take in a wide array of restaurants, shops and delicatessens, not to mention the freshest seafood you can find anywhere.
After taking in the sights Sausalito has to offer, enjoy a scenic ferry ride back to San Francisco. While the ferry ride isn’t under our purview, it’s the quickest and easiest way back to town after your tour is completed, and the views from the water are truly unforgettable. Don’t forget to look for the infamous Alcatraz island, you’ll head right past it on the way back to the city! If you are looking to include Muir woods on your adventure, you’ll want to check out Dylan’s Famous Tour.

Boasting the largest Chinatown in the United States, this 24-block mecca is bustling with energy, amazing food, and unique and colorful shops that give this area it’s charm.
City Hall (Photo Stop)
This beautiful Beaux-Arts monument epitomizes the high-minded American Renaissance of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The site of Joe Dimaggio and Marilyn Monroe’s marriage in 1954.
Mission District (Photo Stop)
Known for its prominent and colorful mural installations, delicious food, and vibrant art and music scene, The Mission embodies the culture of old and new San Francisco.
One of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the United States. Colorful bars and restaurants line the streets, with the historic Castro Theater overlooking the area that Harvey Milk once called home.
Twin Peaks (Photo Stop)
Featuring a panoramic view of all of San Francisco, Twin Peaks offers one of the most beautiful and memorable views of the downtown skyline, surrounding hills and vistas (weather permitting).
The origin of the hippie culture and the birth place of the “Summer of Love.” From the stunning Painted Ladies to the homes of music’s favorite 60’s bands, this district started the counterculture movement across the USA.

Former military base, now a beautiful park that includes Crissy Field, Fort Point, Lucasfilm’s (George Lucas) headquarters and the Walt Disney Museum.
Fort Point (Photo Stop)
Located just beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point gives you a front row seat to the Bay and is a great photo stop. This former military fortification was used during WWII.
Golden Gate Bridge
No San Francisco tour could be complete without seeing the famous Golden Gate Bridge! Declared “One of the 10 Wonders of the Modern World,” the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most recognized symbols of San Francisco. Simply stunning!
Marin Headlands (Photo Stop)
Offering a stunning perspective of the Golden Gate Bridge with downtown San Francisco in the background, this awe-inspiring view is the perfect place to capture a memorable photo.
Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge, this artistic enclave has the setting and beauty of a European Mediterranean town.
How We’re Different
We are not a big bus company! It’s very common to see large hop-on, hop-off buses around town, but we take a much more personal approach. Our guides not only have intimate knowledge and unmatched enthusiasm for our city, but we also use specialized minibuses which are built specifically for city tours. We can literally take you where the big buses can’t go.
Our rides have large windows for full view of the city as we conduct the tour. They are airconditioned, with plenty of standing room and seating for everyone. We stop several times and provide lots of photo opportunities. This is truly the way to enjoy an unforgettable experience in San Francisco!

Have questions? Here are the most frequently asked.
What's the difference between the "Famous Tour" and "Almost Famous Tour?"
Our Dylan's Famous Tour includes Muir Woods, where guests can spend over an hour amongst the stunning redwoods.
Our "Almost Famous" Tour is ideal for those looking for a more leisurely lunch in Sausalito and the gorgeous ferry ride back to San Francisco.
How does the Sausalito ferry work?
Upon arriving in Sausalito you can purchase tickets directly at the downtown ferry terminal (there is no need to purchase in advance, we drop you off a short walk away from the ferry terminal). Cost is $12.50 per rider for return to Fisherman's Wharf.
Why is it beneficial to book directly on Dylanstours.com ?
We sincerely appreciate your interest in our tour company and look forward to showing you our version of San Francisco. When you book directly through our website it allows us to provide the best possible customer service, including:
1. Emailing or calling you directly to communicate our meeting location, last-minute details and tips about your tour. If you book with a 3rd party, we don’t receive your contact information and may not be able to get ahold of you.
2. Easy cancellations; when booking outside of our website it takes several days to get your money back to you should you need to cancel.
3. Dylan’s employees are here to help. When you book with us, on the web or over the phone, our team is here to help every step of the way – from hotel and restaurant recommendations to the best way to get to San Francisco from the airport.
4. The ability to keep our prices fair; when you book outside of our website we pay a 20% commission and therefore have to increase the cost of our tours.
Why choose us?
1. Small Groups:
With Dylan’s, you aren’t just a number. Our minibuses are the perfect size to make sure you are comfortable, well looked-after, and are having FUN!

Our minibus tours are priced to give our guests a tour of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco and over an hour in Muir Woods. We like to think of it as 2 tours in 1!
4. 100% Refund Guarantee:
Change of plans? Feeling under the weather? We are happy to refund your entire tour with 24 hours advance notice.
5. Independently Owned:
We aren’t one of the big bus companies, and it shows. Dylan’s is owned and operated by San Francisco native Dylan David.
6. Your Experience is our Top Priority:
From our convenient meeting location to each stop on your tour, our goal is to make your tour fun and enjoyable. We have thought of the small things so you don’t have to.
Can I make changes to my reservation?
There are many websites across the internet where you can book a tour with us. They all have different terms. When possible, we request that you book directly here on our website. This enables us to not only provide you the best pricing available, but it also enables us to provide a much more customized level of service.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a 100% refund if you cancel at least 24 hours (or more) in advance of your scheduled tour. All tours cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled departure are non-refundable. We also offer rescheduling options for a future tour date without penalty.
What should I bring with me on the minibus?
San Francisco’s dress code usually warrants at most a sweatshirt or a light coat. Drinks and snacks are welcome and we provide water and granola bars as well!
Can I bring my luggage?
Since we use small buses to keep the tours intimate, we cannot accommodate luggage. However, anything that you’re comfortable having on your lap or under your legs is fine with us.
Do I need to bring my booking confirmation to get on the bus?
No, just bring yourself! The booking invoice is mainly for your records. To board our bus, we just need the first and last name of your party.
How does the hotel pick-up work?
We are proud to now offer hotel or AirBnB pick-up to any location in the San Francisco area for just $20. We utilize both ride-share and tour bus pick-ups depending on location in San Francisco; please be ready 45-minutes prior to your tour time if you do opt-in for the pick-up option.
"The minivan was not packed with too many tourists as on some other tours."
