Your adventure begins at our Dylan’s Tours shop, located at 782 Columbus Ave in the heart of North Beach (Little Italy). After a quick orientation and e-bike fitting, you’ll hit the road to explore the best of San Francisco on two wheels. *Make sure to dress in layers and comfortable shoes for your bike ride*

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM RIDE THROUGH SAN FRANCISCO’S ICONIC LANDMARKS

Start your loop with a scenic ride through Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina District, following the Bay toward the Golden Gate Bridge. WHERE DOES THE TOUR START AND END?

The Original City Loop + Muir Woods Shuttle begins and ends at Dylan’s Tours Shop, located at 782 Columbus Avenue in the heart of North Beach (Little Italy). This is one of San Francisco’s most vibrant neighborhoods, surrounded by great cafés, restaurants, and bakeries — the perfect place to grab a coffee before or celebrate after your tour.

Your day starts with our 9:00 AM e-bike adventure, and after returning to the shop around 2:00 PM, you’ll board our Muir Woods Shuttle for the afternoon portion. The full experience ends around 6:00 PM back at Fisherman’s Wharf or our North Beach shop.

This is a full-day tour, lasting approximately 9 hours (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM).

IS THE TOUR DIFFICULT?

Not at all! Our Rad Power E-Bikes make riding through San Francisco surprisingly easy and fun. With multiple pedal-assist levels, you can control how much effort you want to put in — even the city’s steep hills are a breeze.

If you can comfortably ride a regular bike, you’ll do great. The pace is relaxed, and our guides always check in with the group to make sure everyone’s comfortable.

IS THE TOUR SAFE?

Yes — safety is our top priority.
Before departing, your guide will lead a full safety orientation and e-bike demonstration. We use bike-friendly routes, designated lanes, and scenic paths whenever possible. Helmets are provided and required, and our guides are trained professionals who maintain a fun but safe pace.

Our Rad Power bikes also feature lights, bells, and upright seating for great visibility.

WHAT KIND OF ELECTRIC BIKES DO YOU USE?

We use Rad Power Bikes, known for being powerful, comfortable, and easy to ride. Each bike features:

  • Multiple assist levels for hill climbs
  • Smooth hand brakes
  • Upright seating for comfort and visibility
  • Long battery range for a full day of riding

Even if it’s your first time on an e-bike, you’ll feel confident after our quick tutorial.

HEIGHT, WEIGHT, AND RIDER REQUIREMENTS

Our e-bikes fit riders from approximately 5’0” to 6’5” tall and up to 275 lbs (125 kg).
Riders should be comfortable balancing and steering a standard bicycle.
Helmets are provided and required for all participants.

CAN KIDS JOIN THE TOUR?

Children 13 years and older (at least 5 feet tall) can safely ride our e-bikes. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Families with younger children can contact us to arrange private tour options or shuttle-only alternatives for the afternoon portion.

WILL THERE BE A LUNCH BREAK?

Yes! Around midday, we’ll take a lunch break in the Haight Ashbury where you will have plenty of dining option to choose from. Your guide will give you plenty of recommendations.

DO WE GET TIME INSIDE MUIR WOODS?

Yes — you’ll have 60–90 minutes to explore Muir Woods National Monument at your own pace. Walk among towering coastal redwoods, visit the creek trails, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Your guide will provide trail maps and tips for the best paths depending on your interests and walking ability. **Please note there is a $15 per person entrance fee for the park that can be paid in cash or card when you arrive to Muir Woods**

WHERE CAN I PARK FOR THE TOUR?

We recommend parking at the North Beach Parking Garage (735 Vallejo Street), just a 5-minute walk from our shop. Metered street parking is available but limited.

If you’re staying in the city, rideshares like Lyft or Uber are usually the easiest way to arrive on time.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress in comfortable layers — mornings can be cool and foggy, while afternoons are often sunny and warm.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required for safety.
  • Bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
  • A light jacket or windbreaker is ideal for riding across the Golden Gate Bridge.
    Helmets are provided, and you can store small personal items in your handlebar bag or the shuttle vehicle.
ARE THERE BATHROOM BREAKS?

Yes. We make several restroom stops during the day — both along the e-bike route and at Muir Woods. Your guide will let you know ahead of time when the next stop is coming up.
