9:00 AM: DEPARTURE FROM DYLAN’S TOURS SHOP

 Your adventure begins at our Dylan’s Tours shop, located at 782 Columbus Ave in the heart of North Beach (Little Italy). After a quick orientation and e-bike fitting, you’ll hit the road to explore the best of San Francisco on two wheels. *Make sure to dress in layers and comfortable shoes for your bike ride*

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM RIDE THROUGH SAN FRANCISCO’S ICONIC LANDMARKS

Start your loop with a scenic ride through Fisherman’s Wharf and the Marina District, following the Bay toward the Golden Gate Bridge. With the power of your e-bike, you’ll cruise effortlessly up to one of the most famous viewpoints in the world — and then ride across the Golden Gate Bridge for unbeatable views of the city skyline and the Bay below.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Lunch in the Haight Ashbury

After crossing back into the city, and winding our way through Golden Gate Park, we will make a stop in the heart of the hippie movement, the Haight Ashbury. Spend an hour grabbing some food and exploring the local shops that make up this iconic neighborhood.

12:00 PM - 2:00 PM DISCOVER CLASSIC NEIGHBORHOODS

Continue your journey through the city’s most beloved districts — from Haight-Ashbury, home of the 1960s counterculture, to Pacific Heights and Billionaires Row, lined with historic mansions and sweeping views. Along the way, you’ll stop for photos at The Painted Ladies (the “Full House” houses) and the Palace of Fine Arts, plus local favorites in North Beach, Chinatown, and Fisherman’s Wharf.

3:20 PM - 5:20 PM Alcatraz Experience

In the afternoon, you’ll board your ferry to Alcatraz and explore the infamous prison that housed such criminals as Al Capone, The Birdman and Machine Gun Kelly. This is a self guided audio tour where you can walk around at your own pace to fully explore this historic island and prison. Catch any ferry back to San Francisco. Your tour begins at Dylan’s Tours Shop at 782 Columbus Avenue in North Beach (Little Italy). You’ll return here after your e-bike tour and have time to refresh before heading to Pier 33 for your Alcatraz departure.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR?

This is a full-day tour, lasting from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, combining a 5-hour e-bike adventure with the official Alcatraz Experience in the afternoon.

IS THE TOUR DIFFICULT?

Not at all. Our Rad Power E-Bikes make exploring San Francisco’s hills easy for all experience levels. If you can ride a regular bike, you’ll be comfortable on this tour. The pace is relaxed, with frequent stops for photos and breaks.

IS THE TOUR SAFE?

Yes, your safety is our top priority. All tours start with a safety briefing, and we stick to bike-friendly streets and scenic routes. Helmets are provided and required. Our guides are trained professionals who maintain a safe, comfortable pace.

WHAT KIND OF BIKES DO YOU USE?

We use Rad Power E-Bikes, known for their comfort and reliability. Each bike includes multiple assist levels, smooth hand brakes, and upright seating for excellent visibility.

HEIGHT, WEIGHT, AND AGE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ages 13+ only for this tour.
  • Riders must be 5’0”–6’5” and under 275 lbs (125 kg).
  • Riders should be comfortable balancing and steering a standard bike.
    Helmets are provided and required for all participants.

 

WILL THERE BE A LUNCH BREAK?

Yes. Around midday, you’ll stop for lunch at a local café or restaurant. San Francisco is full of great food options vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices included.

HOW LONG IS THE ALCATRAZ PORTION?

Your ferry departs at 3:20 PM, and you’ll spend about 2–2.5 hours total between the ferry ride, cellhouse tour, and exploring the island at your own pace.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

We recommend the North Beach Parking Garage at 1625 Powell Street, just a few minutes’ walk from our shop.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress in layers, mornings can be cool and foggy, while afternoons warm up. Wear closed-toe shoes for biking and bring a light jacket or windbreaker for the ferry ride. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle are also recommended.

CAN I ADD OTHER EXPERIENCES?

Yes! You can add The Lombard Leap for just $10 — a short, open-air ride through hidden corners of the city, including a drive down the world-famous Lombard Street.
