As your guide shares with you the rich history of San Francisco, you’ll drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, stopping to take photos of the famous icon. The first stop in Wine Country will be at Oxbow Public Market, with time to pick up a warm beverage and breakfast pastry from such local favorites as Ritual Coffee and Model Bakery.

After visiting the market, you’ll enjoy wine tastings in both Napa and Sonoma, where you’ll take in the delightful notes of each region. You’ll discover what makes each of the viticulture regions unique, while learning about the history of winemaking in the area and hearing stories about the boutique vineyards and unique processes practiced to craft the wines you taste.

Between the wine tastings, you’ll have ample time to enjoy as you wish in historic Sonoma Square. You can choose from countless options for a unique lunchtime experience, such as a self-guided food tour sampling the many delectable cuisines available, picking up a bottle of wine for a picnic style lunch, enjoying a sit-down meal at a Michelin star restaurant, or savoring another wine tasting.

Sonoma Square offers something for everyone. You can choose from amazing restaurants offering a wide array of cuisines and dozens of options for wine tasting. You’ll even have time to visit and enjoy the rich modern and contemporary art galleries and museums or browse the plentiful unique shops in the plaza.

What is Oxbow Public Market?

Oxbow Public Market is a popular local gathering destination in Napa Valley. The market features plentiful food and drink options for our morning visit. You can sip on a cappuccino from Ritual Coffee Roasters or imbibe in a mimosa or Bloody Mary from C Casa to start your day. Sample delicious eats like Oprah Winfrey’s favorite English Muffins from Model Bakery, a sweet Empandita from El Porteño, or a savory bagel sandwich from Loveski Jewish Deli. At Oxbow, you’ll find countless tasty options to choose from to begin your memorable day in Wine Country!

What is Sonoma Square?

Located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, historic Sonoma Square offers an abundant choice of options for lunch and leisure. Here, you can stroll through the charming courtyards and meandering alleyways, exploring your lunch break however you wish. There are countless cafes and restaurants to choose from, whether you’d like to enjoy a sit-down meal at a Michelin-featured restaurant (reservations recommended) or grab a bottle of wine for a picnic lunch. We’ve even put together a self-guided walking food tour to savor the ample variety of eats, and there’s plenty of free time if you’d like to add-on a third wine tasting to your day. With dozens of tasting rooms to choose from, you can sample wines from Petite Sirah to Sauvignon Blanc and everything in between. In addition to eateries and tasting rooms, Sonoma Square is home to many charming boutique shops, art galleries, and museums to explore, allowing you to take in all that Wine Country has to offer.

Where is the meeting point?

Your meeting point is in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood at 710 Beach Street. Your tour transportation departs promptly at 8:00am.

Where is the drop-off location?

We will drop you off at the same location you were picked up, 710 Beach Street (Fisherman’s Wharf) at approximately 5:00pm.

What is included on the tour?

Your tour includes all of the following:

  •  A visit to and tastings at two boutique wineries (one in Napa and one in Sonoma)
  • All tasting fees are included in the price, as well as a stop at Oxbow Public Market (in the morning) and Sonoma Square (for lunch time), which has many great options – including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free – for lunch (the price of lunch is not included)
  • Friendly live narration from your guide about San Francisco’s neighborhoods and history
  • A stop for photos of the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Pick-up and drop-off

What is not included on the tour?

Gratuity for your guide is not included but is greatly appreciated. The price of breakfast/morning snacks (at Oxbow Public Market) and lunch (at Sonoma Square) is not included, but you will have ample time and options to choose from.

How long is the tour?

The tour is 9 hours in duration. The tour departs at 8:00am, and ends with drop-off at approximately 5:00pm back at your meeting point (710 Beach Street – Fisherman’s Wharf).

What should I bring with me?

Make sure to bring your valid ID. The legal drinking age in the United States is 21 years. Additionally, we recommend wearing layers, as well as bringing a hat, shorts, and sunglasses.

Should we eat breakfast before the tour?

You can choose to have breakfast before your tour or pick up coffee and a pastry at Oxbow Public Market (our first stop around 9:00am).

Can I purchase bottles of wine on the tour?

Absolutely! Feel free to purchase wine from any of the fantastic wineries we visit. Our vehicles can accommodate your purchases or, alternatively, the wineries can ship your bottles to your home.

How long do we spend at each of the wineries?

The wine tasting experience lengths may vary, however most are approximately one hour in duration, giving you plenty of time to sample the wines and learn about the winemaking processes and history.

Are vegetarian or gluten-free options available?

Yes, many of the restaurants offer vegetarian and/or gluten-free selections, so you should be able to find options that meet your dietary needs easily.

Can we leave our driver a tip?

Tips are very much appreciated. It is customary to offer a gift of 15-20% for your guide if you had a great day on your tour!

Can we eat and drink on the bus?

Yes, you may eat and drink on the bus. All we ask is that you drink responsibly and avoid bringing red wine.
