Booking the Famous Tour with Muir Woods for 8am on your first day. Get off in Sausalito, have lunch at your leisure. Take a ferry ride back to Fisherman’s Wharf. Take the Hop On Hop off Bus to Alamo Square, Haight Ashbury or Golden Gate Park

If you’re choosing the 2-Day option, we recommend:

For the first day, book our 8am Famous Tour with Muir Woods. Choose to stay in Sausalito for lunch and take a ferry back to Fisherman’s Wharf. Enjoy sightseeing on your own following the tour. Take advantage of your Hop on Hop off experience on Day 2.

You have the option to start the guided tour at 8:00am or 2:00pm. You will choose the date and time of the guided tour during booking.

The hop on hop off experience departs daily starting at 10:00am, with buses arriving at each stop every 15 minutes.

First Bus: Departs at 10:00am from Stop #1 (Big Bus Tours Fisherman’s Wharf Visitor Center, 99 Jefferson Street). 

Last Bus: Ends at 5:00pm at Stop #1 (Big Bus Tours Fisherman’s Wharf Visitor Center, 99 Jefferson Street)

Guided Tour of City & Muir Woods: 4 hours

Hop on Hop off Tour: Approximately 2 hours, 10 minutes if you don’t hop off the bus. The first bus departs at 10:00am and the last bus ends at 5:00pm for a maximum duration of 7 hours.

Yes, there will be bathroom breaks along the way (around every 45 minutes). We do suggest using the bathroom before you arrive in the morning.

We suggest parking at the Anchorage Parking Garage located at 542 Beach Street, San Francisco.

It’s hard to predict what the weather will be like on the day of your booking, but we always suggest wearing warmer clothes (pants and jackets) with comfortable walking shoes.

There is not a lunch stop on the tour, however you can choose to stay in Sausalito following your guided tour, where there are many restaurants for lunch and dinner. If you choose to stay in Sausalito, you can return via ferry or Uber/Lyft at your convenience.

Yes, you can! You will have an opportunity to add on an Alcatraz ticket during the booking process.

We offer a 100% refund with at least 24 hours notice prior to departure time. If providing less than 24 hours notice before departure, we offer a 50% refund.

While we will take care of the parking fees for Muir Woods, it will be up to each guest to pay the $15 entrance fee to enter the park (16 years and older).
