North Beach offers Italian classics, and Richmond has excellent Asian cuisine. Each neighborhood has its own food personality.

Shizen Vegan Sushi, Gracias Madre, and Golden Era are favorites for plant-based meals. Many SF restaurants have strong vegan and vegetarian options even if they aren’t fully plant-based.

These spots serve some of the best fresh sourdough in the city.
