Like any major city, SF has busy areas and some zones to avoid late at night. Stick to well-traveled spots (North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, Embarcadero) and use rideshare if it’s late. Safety is mostly about awareness and choosing the right neighborhoods.
