Forget about June Gloom — San Francisco is due for real summer weather this weekend! Get #ReadyForTheWeekend with these events happening around San Francisco on June 17th & 18th.


SATURDAY, JUNE 17TH

North Beach Festival

One weekend, two stages and 125 booths filled with local foods, arts and crafts. Did we mention the chalk artists recreating Italian classic paintings and “beverage gardens” for the grown-ups? This is one of our favorite #OnlyInSF events — and not just because it’s in the backyard of our bike shop!

When: 10am – 6pm
Where: North Beach along Grant & Columbus
Cost: FREE!

Juneteenth Celebration in The Fillmore

Celebrate the end of slavery with one of the largest Juneteenth Celebrations in California! The Fillmore District — aka The Harlem of the West — has been hosting this jubilee since 1951. Expect lots of BBQ to eat and even more blues and jazz music to dance to — join the party and support local black businesses!

When: 10am – 6pm, PARADE FROM 11am – 1pm
Where: Fillmore Streets between Geary and Turk
Cost: FREE

San Francisco Black Film Festival

Since 1998 the SF Black Film Festival had been a much loved addition to the Juneteenth Celebration. After celebrating Juneteenth catch a screening at our War Memorial Opera House until

Sleeping Beauty Screening at the Walt Disney Family Museum

Enjoy a viewing of Sleeping Beauty at the screening room inside the Walt Disney Family Museum! It’s free with admission to the museum 😉

Where: The Walt Disney Family Museum
When: 4pm
Cost: FREE with museum entry. Other wise $10 for adults, $8 for kids.

Try to Get a Whiff of the Corpse Flower

What’s nearly 10 feet tall and smells like road kill? If you guessed the Corpse Flower — you’re right! Why on Earth would anyone want to subject themselves to that? Because it only happens once every decade — and the plant is nearly extinct in the wild! For the less adventurous, the Conservatory of Flowers has set up a live stream. So you just might be able to catch the bloom in real time!

When: Any day now!  Open 10am – 9pm
Where: Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park
Cost: $8 for adults. $6 for students, seniors and kids 12-17. $2 for kids 5-11. FREE kids 4 and under!

Bucko: Whaleman!

If you’ve been on one of our minibus tours you’ve seen the historic schooners and tall ships at Hyde Street Pier. But just before sunset, these towering ships will become the stage for a stunning theatrical production, Bucko: Whaleman!

When: 7pm
Where: Hyde Street Pier at Fisherman’s Wharf
Cost: $20 – $35
