Best Bike Tours Around the Globe: Washington D.C.

Posted on December 19, 2017 |

Two of our favorite things in life: electric bikes and passionate locals leading tours of their hometown. That’s what has led us to find some of the best bike tours in Seattle and Vancouver. But our search for the Best Bike Tours Across the Globe has now led us all the way to our nation’s capital — Washington D.C. — where segway tours rule supreme.

Despite the dominance of segways in D.C. we were able to find the original electric bike tour company of the capitol and TripAdvisor’s highest ranking e-bike tour — DC Insider Tours. And their Pedego electric bikes look a little familiar! (Okay, we can admit we might be a little biased since we love our Pedego e-bikes so much). If you’re still hesitant to switch over to a bike tour from a segway tour — just check out Everything You Need to Know About Bike Tours!

Seriously though, if you had a blast cruising around on our San Francisco electric bike tour — then you’re going to love exploring with DC Insider Tours! When you’re in a city notorious for gnarled traffic most days, hopping on an e-bike tour whether you’re in SF or DC. And with DC Insider Tours, you’ll get closer to iconic monuments than you ever would by car because e-bikes give you access to paths not accessible to cars!

You can see DC in a day on their Full Throttle Tour of the city. Adventurous urban explorers have got to check out their After Hours tours to discover DC without the crowds or traffic. Next year though, DC Insiders Tours has something really fun in store — a brand new food and drink tour! DC’s metro system is really only designed for commuters. Which is where DC Insiders Tours comes in, to take you to places that are harder to get to my public transportation. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram to stay current!
